This is a beautiful and meaningful portrait! Working with graphite on fine grain paper allows for detailed rendering and subtle shading, which can bring out the depth and emotion in your subjects.  My choice to depict a mother and son of Latino origin is, to me,  a wonderful way to celebrate cultural identity and familial love.
